Theon Bower, DJ and producer, London

Theon Bower is busy cementing a reputation as one of the hardest-working figures on the London underground music scene. Cutting his teeth as a DJ, producer and instrumentalist in his teenage years, Bower has since become an important catalyst on dance floors across the capital and beyond.

Productions

Theon draws on a truly eclectic palette and distils these myriad influences into unique productions that snake between both the more soulful end of the house spectrum and heavier trance and progressive cuts for the underground.

While the majority of his recent releases have stemmed from his own imprint, Swung Out Records, he's also released on several labels over the past few years including The Disco Express, Midnight Riot and Rare Wiri, winning praise from the likes of Paul Oakenfold, TSHA, Roger Sanchez and Horse Meat Disco to name a few, as well as his tracks gaining rotation on Rinse FM, NTS and BBC Radio.

Looking ahead, Theon will be focussed on building the Swung Out Records imprint, with monthly singles planned in for release over the rest of 2026. He's also recently signed his first EP to German dance powerhouse Toy Tonics, dropping in November 2026.

Playing out

It's Theon's skill behind the decks that sets him apart. At age eleven, his father, a lifelong musician himself, gifted him his first pair of turntables. To date, he has played some of the most well-respected venues in London including fabric, The Cause, Night Tales, Corsica Studios and Pickle Factory. He's already supported some legendary acts along the way including Groove Armada, Crazy P, Dusky, Horse Meat Disco, Job Jobse, MJ Cole, MK, Orbital and more. Over the past couple of seasons he's also racked up sets at Glaso, Eastern Electrics and Boiler Room as well as internationally.

He brings the same no-nonsense, high-energy style to those stages as to the UK's more intimate venues. He's also a regular on London's airwaves, having played shows across BBC 1, Voices, Loose FM, Threads, Bloop, Netil, Soho Radio, S-Dance, Data Transmission and Brixton Radio over the past few years.

Beyond the music

Theon's also recently co-founded the London via Madrid house brand House of Jung, who have been hosting sustainability-focussed DJ broadcasts and parties across Europe employing the solar powered soundsystem that the House of Jung team had commissioned and took delivery of this summer. Theon also owns the events brand Fever 105, pushing the soulful side of dance music to an engaged community in London. He's also launching a new podcast in 2026, named Pitchrider.
